A well-maintained gas heating system avoids unnecessary repairs
Whatever your heating system (gas, oil, pellet stove, heat pump, condensing boiler, etc.) annual boiler maintenance by a qualified heating engineer is crucial. Water heater and electric heating maintenance
Price from €169 *
Regular maintenance of your boiler and electric heating system is essential to ensure their smooth operation and longevity. It's important to understand the key stages of maintenance to ensure optimum performance and energy savings.
Water heater maintenance
Water heater maintenance is a task that is often overlooked, but it is crucial to ensuring boiler performance and durability. A well-maintained boiler will extend its life and minimise potential breakdowns. Common boiler maintenance tasks include cleaning internal components, checking seals and adjusting pressure.
What's more, regular water heater maintenance can contribute to greater energy efficiency. A boiler in good condition operates more efficiently, which means lower energy consumption and savings on your electricity bill.
Electric heating maintenance
Regular maintenance is also essential to keep your electric heater running smoothly. The build-up of dust and dirt in the heating elements can reduce the efficiency of your heating system. Regular cleaning of these components can help maintain optimum performance and energy efficiency.
In addition, regular checking of electrical wiring and connections can prevent potential breakdowns. A well-maintained electric heating system not only provides constant, efficient heat, but also increases safety by avoiding the fire hazards associated with faulty electrical connections.
*A VAT rate of 21% applies for a house less than 10 years old.
Which boiler should you choose?
The choice of heating system for your home is crucial to your comfort and energy savings. The types of boiler available include :
Wall-mounted boiler
Underfloor boiler
Gas boiler
Oil-fired boiler
Condensing boiler
Pellet boiler
To choose the right boiler for your home, you need to consider the type of fuel that best suits your needs and the boiler's energy performance. Pellets, oil and gas are the most common options.
Heat pumps and underfloor heating are also popular choices for efficient, energy-saving heating. To meet your hot water needs, you can also consider an efficient water heater and hot water cylinder.
Finally, the quality of the installation of your heating system is crucial to its efficiency. So it's essential to use a qualified installer to install and maintain your heating system. As well as ensuring the safety and comfort of your home, a professional will also be able to advise you on the energy efficiency of your system.
